HomeRun is Bangalore's quick commerce platform for construction materials. Think Blinkit or Zepto, but for cement, plywood, electrical wires, and wall putty. 60-minute delivery across 105+ pin codes. Series A backed.
When they came to us, half their sales were already coming from organic search. But nearly all of it was cement. For everything else they sold — wires, paints, plywood, tile adhesives, waterproofing, hardware — they were invisible.
2,000+ SKUs. Rankings in one category.
Before we touched a single page, we needed to understand how construction buyers in India actually search.
It's different from what most SEO playbooks assume.
Indian buyers — contractors, electricians, carpenters, homeowners — don't search for brand stories or product reviews. They search with direct price intent:
"UltraTech cement price Bangalore"
"Polycab wire price list"
"Asian Paints primer price per litre"
"Century plywood price Bangalore"
These aren't people doing research. These are people who have already decided what they want. They just need the price and where to get it.
We mapped this across HomeRun's full catalog and found close to 300,000 monthly searches in India for exactly these queries — across every category they stock and deliver.
Then we looked at who was actually showing up.
IndiaMART listings with no prices. Brand websites with brochures but no availability. Amazon and Flipkart with no 60-minute local delivery. The SERPs were weak. The gap was enormous.
HomeRun had exactly what buyers were looking for. They just weren't showing up.
The obvious move with a 2,000-SKU catalog is to try to fix everything. Optimize every product page. Rewrite every collection. Run a full technical audit.
We didn't do that.
We built one thing: a price list page for each category.
One Shopify Liquid template. Built once. Then deployed across every category HomeRun sells — cement, plywood, paints, wires, tile adhesives, waterproofing, hardware, switches, door locks.
Each page showed live pricing from the Shopify catalog, the brands and variants in stock, and a clear path to order with 60-minute delivery. Everything a buyer needs without leaving the page.
/price-list/cement → "cement price list Bangalore"
/price-list/finolex-wire → "Finolex wire price list Bangalore"
/price-list/asian-paints → "Asian Paints price list Bangalore"
/price-list/century-plywood → "Century Plywood price Bangalore"
One template. Every category. No chasing individual SKUs.
That flat line on the left of the chart is HomeRun's price list traffic before we started. Late March is when the first pages went live. It hasn't stopped climbing since.
2,250 clicks. 284,000 impressions. Average position 7.7. In 90 days.
Every single one of these pages has the same entry in Search Console's previous period column: no data — new entry. Zero traffic before. Every click is incremental.
And it's not just cement. The template is now powering 203 indexed pages across every category:

Wall putty: 29,000 impressions a quarter. White cement: 27,000. Categories where HomeRun had zero organic presence before a single template was deployed.
The SERPs for construction materials in Bangalore were thin. IndiaMART directories with no prices. Brand sites with brochures. Amazon with no 60-minute delivery. When a page arrived showing real local prices, genuine in-stock products, and a real delivery promise, there wasn't much to rank above it.
The other piece is that buyers don't search by SKU. They search by category and brand. One well-built category price list page captures most of the purchase intent that hundreds of individual product pages would chase — and it ranks faster, stays current with live pricing, and scales cleanly.
That's the template leverage. Built once, each new category is a configuration not a project. The same work that took weeks to build is now compounding across 203 pages.
With the template proven, the playbook extends to seven new categories found in a recent site audit — CPVC plumbing, LED lighting, sanitary fittings, conduits, overhead tanks, kitchen appliances. Each gets its own page.
Beyond price, we're building the authority layer — content that positions HomeRun as the trusted source on construction material quality in Bangalore, not just the best price. But you earn the click with price first. The trust comes after.
HomeRun delivers 2,000+ SKUs — cement, plywood, wires, paints, hardware and more — in 60 minutes across 105+ Bangalore pin codes.
