Synscribe is an AI company building a platform to automate the entire SEO and content strategy workflow, delivering results like 2x higher conversion rates from LLM-optimized content.
This foundational role is for the first software engineer who will tackle complex AI problems, such as creating self-improving agents and designing effective human-in-the-loop systems.
The ideal candidate is a high-agency individual with deep expertise in TypeScript, Next.js, and LLM projects, ready to take extreme ownership and solve difficult problems independently.
If you're a talented engineer excited to build a revolutionary AI platform that is already outperforming traditional methods, apply now to shape the future of AI-powered growth.
Are you ready to join a revolutionary team that's redefining how AI powers SEO and content strategy? At Synscribe, we're not just another SEO agency – we're building the future of AI-powered content creation and optimization that delivers real results for high-growth startups around the globe.
Let's cut straight to the chase. If you're an exceptional software engineer looking at our website, you might think: "An SEO agency? That's not for me." And you'd be right – if we were just another agency.
But here's the truth: we're positioning ourselves as an agency to our customers while secretly building something much bigger behind the scenes. We're creating a comprehensive AI platform that's already delivering results that traditional SEO agencies can only dream of:
Our clients get qualified leads from ChatGPT in as little as 3 days after publishing
We're seeing 2x more leads and 2x higher conversion rates from LLM-optimized content compared to traditional search
Our AI-powered processes make us 10x more efficient than traditional SEO agencies
Our founder, Raymond, explains it best: "We are trying to replace the entire human and consultant stack rather than just tools." We're not building yet another SEO dashboard – we're reimagining the entire content optimization workflow with AI at its core.
We work with ambitious, high-growth startups and companies that are:
Primarily B2B and global in nature
Post-revenue (typically $500k+ ARR)
Looking to scale their content strategy without the traditional agency headaches
Our clients rely on us to deliver measurable results, not just reports. And we consistently outperform traditional approaches by leveraging our unique AI-powered platform.
While our website might look like a typical agency front, behind the scenes we've built a sophisticated suite of AI tools that power our operations:
Our AI doesn't just find keywords – it creates strategic content plans based on search intent, competitor analysis, and business objectives. It suggests topics, accepts or rejects them based on strategy, and creates comprehensive planning pages.
Our system doesn't just scrape the web – it actually understands discussions in places like Reddit, analyzes what real humans are saying about topics, and synthesizes that knowledge into actionable insights.
We've built an end-to-end content creation pipeline that:
Researches topics in depth
Finds and incorporates relevant statistics and data
Creates properly structured content with summaries, FAQs, and citations
Adds appropriate calls-to-action and optimizes for both human readers and AI systems
One of our most impressive capabilities is programmatic landing page generation. We can create hundreds of highly targeted, conversion-optimized landing pages simply by entering keywords. The system even generates appropriate imagery based on structured data.
Our AI agents handle outreach and collaboration with relevant websites, automating one of the most time-consuming aspects of SEO.
As our first software engineer, you'll be at the center of solving fascinating technical challenges that combine cutting-edge AI with practical business applications. Here's what you'll help us build:
We're not just replacing tools – we're replacing entire human workflows. You'll help us close the gap between tool capabilities and actual business outcomes, dramatically lowering the barrier to entry for companies that can't afford or don't need dedicated SEO specialists.
You'll work directly with top engineers and founders from the startups we serve. This gives you the unique opportunity to implement changes across multiple companies, creating tight feedback loops that help us rapidly improve our technology and processes.
You'll tackle fascinating challenges like:
Ensuring output quality at scale through evaluations and human-in-the-loop systems
Creating formalized "skills" that allow AI agents to replicate the expertise of top SEO consultants
Enabling longitudinal planning and execution (solving the context rot problem)
Building agents that self-improve by learning from executed results
Creating effective human-AI collaboration workflows that don't overwhelm the humans
Solving the "ouroboros/model collapse" problem where AI systems consume AI-generated content and degrade over time
Making sophisticated AI capabilities accessible through intuitive self-service interfaces
Building cross-portfolio ecosystem effects, like automated link building across client sites
Designing systems where AI learns from human operators' actions to continuously improve
Raymond puts it perfectly: "We are going to look into putting in LLMs, evals, and how can we have human in the loop without overwhelming humans... The issue right now with a lot of AI products is that they impose a lot of work onto the human. How can we eliminate that and only put humans onto the most important things?"
We're building on modern technologies that allow us to move quickly and focus on the problems that matter:
Next.js for our front-end and back-end
Trigger.dev for durable execution
LangChain for AI structured data and SDK
LangGraph/Mastra for agent orchestration
We've also developed our own orchestration layer called Cyclonic that helps us design better human-in-the-loop systems.
As our first engineer, you'll be joining at a culture-defining moment. We're a small team of three people growing rapidly, and you'll help shape how we work together as we scale. Here's what we value:
We expect you to care deeply about your work, our customers, your craft, your colleagues, and the space in general. Your name will be on what you build.
You'll be surrounded by smart people (including yourself!), but we expect everyone to actively seek out new knowledge and bring it back to the team. As Raymond says, "You are expected to bring new, net new knowledge into the space and to lead everyone in terms of knowledge as well."
We form hypotheses, run experiments to validate or invalidate them, and let the results guide our decisions. There's very little ego here – only what works matters.
We acknowledge that there will always be some "unsexy" work, but we constantly identify friction points and fix them so we can move on to more valuable challenges. If you find yourself doing the same routine tasks repeatedly, something's wrong.
Everything that can be done by AI should be done by AI. Human supervision exists to ensure quality and continuously improve processes – not to do work that could be automated.
We have high standards for this role. These qualities are non-negotiable:
Familiarity with AI coding platforms: We use Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools. Preference for Claude Code so we can improve our skills together.
Deep TypeScript knowledge: Not just JavaScript with any types slapped on. We expect understanding of concepts like generics.
Next.js expertise: You should know the intricacies of Next.js including server-side rendering, server-side execution, durable functions, and execution timing limitations.
Experience with LLMs: You must have worked on at least one project involving structured data with LLMs and prompt engineering (personal projects count).
We expect a high level of pride in your work. You should aim to be the best at your craft and continuously improve. As Raymond says, "It's something that is very hard to assess, but that would be one of our main assessment criteria and also the culture that we want to create."
These aren't required, but they'll definitely make your application stronger:
Blog posts or open source repositories showcasing AI projects you've worked on
Prompt engineering experience
Experience with AI evaluation systems
We believe in transparency, so here are some signs that you might struggle in our environment:
You need hand-holding: Everyone here has their own responsibilities and tackles big problems independently. We help each other, but you need to drive your own success.
You haven't learned anything new recently: Look at the past few weeks or months – have you actively experimented with new technologies, or just watched videos about them?
AI has become a crutch rather than an exoskeleton: You should be able to work effectively without AI. If you can't, you won't thrive here.
You don't understand AI's limitations: If you haven't pushed AI systems to their breaking points and discovered what they can't yet do, you're likely not working at the cutting edge.
Your work hasn't evolved recently: If you've been doing the same things for the past couple of months, either professionally or personally, you likely won't keep up with our pace. We solve problems and move on to new challenges constantly.
You think you're "too senior" for certain tasks: We all do whatever needs to be done, then figure out how to automate it. There's no room for hierarchy when building something revolutionary.
We're open to candidates across the experience spectrum, from junior to senior levels. All positions are individual contributor roles – we don't have any management positions at this stage, and don't foresee adding them anytime soon.
As Raymond puts it: "We are going with very high agency individuals over here."
What we're building isn't just another tech product. We're fundamentally changing how businesses connect with their audiences in an AI-first world. The companies we help are solving important problems in their own domains, and by making them more successful, we multiply our impact.
You'll be working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI technology and practical business applications – a rare opportunity to push technical boundaries while delivering measurable value. And as our first engineer, you'll help shape not just our product but our entire engineering culture.
Synscribe is building a comprehensive AI platform designed to automate and replace the entire human and consultant stack involved in SEO and content strategy. While we present as an agency to clients, our core focus is developing an end-to-end system that handles everything from keyword planning and deep research to content creation, landing page generation, and automated link building. The goal is to create a true "SEO-Agency-as-a-Service," not just another dashboard or set of tools.
Synscribe's platform focuses on replacing entire human workflows and delivering business outcomes, whereas traditional SEO tools typically assist with specific tasks. Our AI doesn't just find keywords; it builds strategic content plans. It doesn't just scrape the web; it synthesizes human discussions from sources like Reddit. We are building AI agents capable of complex tasks like outreach and collaboration, closing the gap between tool capabilities and actual results like qualified leads and higher conversion rates.
A top engineer should join Synscribe because we are not an SEO company, but an AI company solving complex engineering problems within the high-impact domain of SEO. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI challenges, such as building self-improving agents, solving for model collapse, and designing effective human-in-the-loop systems. You will be building a product that fundamentally changes how businesses grow, working at the intersection of advanced AI and tangible business value.
The biggest technical challenges involve ensuring AI output quality at scale, creating agents that can replicate expert human skills, and enabling long-term planning and execution without context decay. You will be tackling difficult problems like building robust evaluation systems, designing effective human-AI collaboration workflows that don't overburden users, and developing AI that learns from its own results. These are frontier problems in the applied AI space.
An "AI-First" culture means we fundamentally believe that any task that can be automated by AI should be, with human oversight focused on quality control and process improvement. In practice, this means we constantly identify friction points in our workflows and build solutions to automate them. Engineers are expected to use AI as an exoskeleton to enhance their capabilities, not as a crutch.
The ideal candidate is a high-agency individual contributor with deep technical proficiency in TypeScript and Next.js, practical experience with LLMs, and a strong sense of craftsmanship. We are looking for an independent learner with an experimental mindset who takes immense pride in their work. You must be comfortable tackling large, ambiguous problems and driving your own success as you help shape the foundation of our engineering culture.
If this mission excites you, if these challenges intrigue you, and if you recognize yourself in the qualities we're looking for, we want to hear from you.
This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of something transformative – to help build the future of AI-powered content strategy from the foundation up.
